Kurda Smahlt is a relatively young vampire, turned in 1895.

He has a strong sense of justice and a deep desire to be part of positive change, for both humans and his vampire kin.
He is often ridiculed by other vampires for his soft heart and pacifist nature, but he has simultaneously risen to one of the highest ranks in vampire society in spite of this purely through his intelligence and calm, strategic way of thinking and conducting himself.

Kurda is an intellectual who enjoys research, particularly on vampirism, and he's also an accomplished cartographer.
He travels often and is a stubborn and proud political activist with no qualms about putting himself in harm's way to achieve a higher purpose or greater good.
